Hi, I’m Monica.

I am so glad that you are here! I am a licensed therapist, published author and founder of Whole Mind Wellness PLLC in Commerce, Michigan. I specialize in using therapy to bring relief to people who have experienced trauma and anxiety.

I received a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Eastern Michigan University, before developing my specialty in anxiety and trauma treatment.

After graduating, I worked as a high-school counselor, where I noticed a gap in the delivery of mental health counseling in schools. The educational system placed more emphasis on academics, leaving a plethora of mental health issues unmet.

Having found this challenge, I sought ways to strike a balance. But then, in 2017, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Going through the process of chemotherapy, losing my hair and my strength made me feel like I had lost my confidence, I leaned inwards and developed a voice from the depths of my vulnerabilities. Soon, I began sharing my experience and realized that opening up about my vulnerabilities helped other people around me become more open to receiving help.

I realized I could make deeper-reaching impact by reaching out to people empowering them to heal in the process.

I documented my experiences in my book titled “Shade of Pink.” I author workbooks, digital downloads and products that are inspired by the need to help people live anxiety-free, strategic, value-driven lives.

My goal is to help provide easy access to therapy so that people can heal and become better individuals.

When I am not offering therapy to a client, I can be found writing, reading or speaking on
